Lunalta respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use Lunalta. Lunalta serves users in Canada, and we handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. Final legal text is under review by counsel; this version reflects our current commitments.
Information we collect
We collect account information you provide (name, email, age range, language preference), symptom and health information you log in Lunalta, and technical telemetry needed to operate the service (device type, session timestamps, error logs). We collect health information only with your consent and never request more than we need to deliver the features you use.
How we use your information
We use your information to deliver Lunalta features (symptom tracking, trend visualization, exportable health summaries, educational content), maintain account security, communicate about service changes, and improve the platform. We do not sell personal health information, and we rely on your consent — which you can withdraw at any time — to process your health information.
When we share information
We share your information only: (1) with your healthcare provider when you explicitly choose to share an exportable health summary; (2) with service providers acting on our behalf under strict confidentiality (hosting, email delivery, analytics — limited to the data required for each function); (3) when required by Canadian law or to protect safety. We do not sell or rent personal data. Some service providers may process data outside Canada; where they do, your information may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, and we take steps to ensure comparable protection.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings. Under PIPEDA you may also withdraw your consent (subject to legal or contractual limits) and ask how your information is handled. Health information is treated as sensitive and given a higher standard of care, consistent with PIPEDA and applicable provincial health-privacy legislation. If a concern remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
